…to win just by becoming a follower of this blog.
The three fabrics above measure approximately 1 yard each and will be added to the art work already offered for the draw. I have selected colors that appeal to a wide range of preferences and I hope this will entice you to consider “getting closer” to my blog. Each piece of hand-dyed cotton lawn offers a variety of colors and texture and will be great for applique and fussy cutting. If you prefer you could also use it as a background for collage – so many ideas, possibilities and options!
While selecting these fabrics I pulled several other pieces in anticipation of creating more work to augment my “Sharing Riches of My Soul” body of work from 2011. I have a firm exhibition date set in Saskatoon for all of June and want to ensure a strong body of work that may draw in interested art supporters and create some excitement. With so much already accomplished in January two or three more pieces of textile art might just be possible.
For Thursday I am planning a Textile Journal review. Make sure to check back then.
Blog is awesome. Back from my holiday and was inspiring. Now I must get busy with my assignments for next class. I too have a copy of The Art Studio magazine. I can look through it many times over.

Anna, I’m trying not to drool on my keyboard! Those are some of my very favourite colours. Yummy! The red/wine-coloured one in particular has me thinking of the bursting of peonies…

As always Anna, it is a pleasure reading your words and thoughts on creativity. I took a two-day workshop with you this past summer at Quilting By the Lake. I came away with a wealth of creative ideas and useful tips. For example, your method of pillow-case turning for small art quilts. I used it to make nine small Christmas tree wall hangings for my husbands nine siblings! It worked great and saved time by not having to add bindings. I also did some decorative stitching by machine on the trees. I will try to send a photo of one soon.

Love anything in the purple family. Made a trip to the quilt shop in Avonport, literally on the other side of the province. A very, very foggy day here. Going to head for my quilt room after supper and create.

Beautiful fabrics. Maybe I’ll have to test out using fabrics in some of my collage pieces. I’m inspired!
