March 8th commemorates International Women’s Day and I am waiting to hear if this year one of my textile creations may finally be included in the exhibition at the United Nations in New York. Let the Sunshine In was created for the exhibition in Geneva last year but after quite a few incidents which including the quilt getting lost for more than two months, arriving just in time to have it hand delivered by the organizer in the end it was pulled from exhibition a few days before the official opening. If you are interested in some of these details visit my “old” blog on my website and look for the three entries between November 2010 and March 2011.
Below is the link to the images that showcase the body of work created by women from across the world. Enjoy the diversity and honor the women in your life today!

Hi Anna – International Women’s Day – hope it proves to be a good day for you. When I count my blessings, the names of 18 women who are special to me are always near the top of the list. My life is richer in so many ways because of these women, and I decided that IWD was the perfect time to tell them so. I wrote each of them a note tellling them what I admired about them and how much they mean to me – and felt profoundly grateful.
