Indigo Revival, Historical Kantha and Good Bye Quilt Canada, Halifax!

Quilt Canada 2012 in Halifax came to an end tonight! A big thank you goes to the local organizing committee and CQA/ACC for pulling off a successful conference.

The last evening was bitter sweet as we enjoyed one more outstanding dinner at the Cunard Center and were treated to energetic performances by Atlantic Canada Ceilidh and bidding farewell to new and old friends.

My last two days were filled with teaching two classes. My Indigo and Kantha Workshops (usually two days each) were presented in one day each. My extensive preparation, assembly of kits and general redesign paid off.  Happy students with big smiles are always the best reward! The images above capture a few highlights from class, the courtyard where we dipped prepared fabrics, and selected images of the Kantha workshop.

I am signing off from Halifax! Enjoy the images of street scenes and homes surrounding the Dalhousie University Campus in addition to the amazing results from the workshops! Have a wonderful Sunday – I shall arrive in Regina early afternoon.

Good to hear, Anna. I love Halifax and am sure your classes were a hit. Weather has improved in upstate NY so I will be out of doors doing yardwork today!!

    • Halifax was wonderful and I was sad to leave without exploring the province more but that just means that I will be back in the future. With so much history and natural wonders Nova Scotia calls!
