EXHIBITION STATEMENT
“Sharing Riches of My Soul”
The soul is the field of our psychological activity (thinking, emotions, memory, desires, will) as well as of extrasensory perception. The soul acts as a link between the material body and the spiritual self, and therefore shares some characteristics of both. It may be attracted either towards the spiritual or towards the material realm, being thus the “battlefield” of good and evil.
Armed with nearly 100 yards of hand-dyed fabric, thought provoking lyrics and mesmerizing music I embarked on a journey of exploration culminating in the new body of work inspired exclusively by Cat Stevens ballads.
Join me:
“Run your fingers through my soul. For once, just once, feel exactly what I feel, believe what I believe, perceive as I perceive, loo, experience, examine, and for once, understand.”

Congratulations on your show! It sounds like something that should travel. A big step like a solo show could go to other galleries.

Thanks, Vivian! This body of work had its debut in 2011 at the FibreWorks Yurts last year. I have augmented the work with three new pieces. After the Saskatchewan Craft Council venue I have one other venue secured, the Shurniak Gallery in Assiniboia. I am just waiting for definite dates.
My last solo exhibition “Compelled”, which I secured four venues for over two years, I am taking it a little easier this time, as I have another new body of work debuting in August.
