Today, Father’s Day and a spur of the moment decision took me away from the many tasks that are necessary for the Open Studio Event beginning on Friday. I have completed painting the new canvas signs that will mark the way to my studio. A couple of colorful windsocks will capture the attention of people driving by…

A break is a break and time away was a good choice. There is nothing like visiting a greenhouse in the rain to brighten one’s spirits – only sharing this with good friends makes it a perfect day!

Last year I learned to really appreciate the subtle differences and color nuances of succulents. I never grow tired of getting close to a plant to examine its texture, contrasting colors, or admire an entire tray of young plants.I hope you enjoy the images of the succulents I captured!
