Last spring I was contacted by Sandra Reford to find out if “Aglow” (pictured above) would be available for exhibition in France. It was, and I sent my work to the collection point in Toronto in late May.
The exhibition was curated from across Canada and received very positive feedback while featured in France. 21,000 visitors came through the venue.
The work has been back in Canada for several weeks now. Sandra secured a second exhibition venue which opened the show at the Joshua Creek Art Centre in Oakville, ON at the end of November. If you are near Oakville or in the GTA make sure to stop by the show. Click TRADITION IN TRANSITION RACK CARD to download the information. Make sure to let the gallery know that you read about the show on my blog!!
Beautiful piece Anna. It sure draws you in. I would love to see it in person. Donna

I am getting the piece back in January… I will most likely bring it to Art Quilt Campus 2013 for one of my samples – so there is your opportunity to see it in person, or if you stop in at my studio on one of your trips to SK you can see it as well, Donna.

Of course it could only be an Anna piece. So very innovative and lovely, The colours are to wonderful. I am thinking they are some of your wonderful dyed pieces. Can hardly wait for the classes in 2013. How lucky we are to have you here in Sask. Smile Leona

This was the first year since we have been living in Germany that I did not make it to this show which is in Ste Marie Aux Mines, France. That is all of 2 hours away from us. However, even I couldn’t persuade myself that a quilt show 3 weeks after a hip replacement was a good idea. I was distraught to miss the Canadian exhibit which I am sure was wonderful.
Your piece is gorgeous, Anna. Hopefully I will see it in person one day.

Oh Nan, What a disappointment that you were unable to attend the quilt show. I had no idea it was so close to you. Maybe I have to come and visit one year, as my sister only lives about 90 minutes from you as well. Glad to hear you are recovering well from your hip replacement. Enjoy the holiday season!
