… a great sunrise excursion!!!
We drove home from town last night and encountered fog. It wasn’t the most pleasant drive. However, despite best intentions to live more in the moment and not worry about the past and the future I began to project that we might have hoarfrost in the morning.
We made a sunrise photography “date”, Colin and I. My camera is ready, the tripod in the car and the coffee just finished brewing. Soon we will be on our way chasing the best light on a winter’s day. It is only -9 C without any wind.
Enjoy your Sunday – I know I will be clicking and sorting most of the day!

We just returned from a cruise to the Caribbean, so instead of nice white powdery sands we are back to snow!! But I agree – the hoarfrost mays for spectacular scenes.

Thanks – the excursion was rather disappointing. by the time we made it out of the valley the sun was hiding behind dense cloud and the hoar frost was nearly non-existent. So, we are waiting for sunset…

Stunning photo! We very really get below freezing here, but when we I love to find the cobwebs looking so beautiful with some added frost:)

Oh yes, hoarfrost on spider webs in the sunshine – like fugitive jewels!!! One of my favorites to capture early in the winter. By now they have all been destroyed by the elements…
