And the Winner is…

Ruby VortexJust as I promised, yesterday morning I drew the name from those who left reasons in the comment section of the April 21st post why they should own the book The Crafter’s Guide to Taking Great Photos – The Best Techniques for Showcasing Your Handmade Creations by Heidi Adnum. Interweave Press, 2011. ISBN 978-1-59668-626-7

The lucky recipient is Debbie M. from Northern Alberta. Her book signed, all wrapped up, addressed and going to the post office later this morning. Congratulations, Debbie! Can’t wait to see your images in the future.

It’s a day for promotions: First I would like to remind everyone that there are almost two weeks left to leave a suggestion for future posts on this blog. Read the details in the March 31st post. You may be the recipient of the small framed art piece I am giving away! Read over the content of the post and check the various questions left by loyal readers. It might just spark your interest and another question. Don’t be shy – weigh in with your query.

Today’s image is of my 2013 contribution to the SAQA Benefit Auction. I hand-delivered “Ruby Vortex” to the conference in Santa Fe last week. The auction usually starts in September – make sure you mark your calendar. It’s a great opportunity to own a small piece of art by quilt artists from around the globe!

I am putting the finishing touches on packing today. Friday morning I am back on the road, heading to Hanna, AB to teach a weekend class. Can’t wait to see what everyone creates in the “Twisting the Landscape” workshop. The long trip will provide an opportunity to sort images I captured in New Mexico last week. I am getting ready to share them soon. Check back soon for travel memories!
