Sharing Memories of New Mexico

Good morning and Happy Sunday!

I am teaching this weekend in Hanna. I had best laid plans to schedule an educational blog post when I was contacted by CQA/ACC on Thursday. Libby Lehman is unable to attend Quilt BC 2013 in Penticton due to health reasons. I will be in Penticton to teach a pre-conference workshop and have offered to teach a two day class and deliver a lecture Friday evening. My proposal was accepted and I got busy preparing handouts, pack samples and supplies instead of composing a post.

Not all is lost: I decided to upload some of my Taos Pueblo images. I visited the UNESCO World Heritage site on April 24th prior to the SAQA Conference in Santa Fe. If you are interested in commentary I encourage you to visit my travel blog to see the images with detailed descriptions.

Ricky Tims has been keeping everyone updated, via Facebook, on Libby’s extremely serious condition after surgery for a brain aneurism, followed by a stroke. She is in a state of induced coma at the moment – out thoughts and prayers are with Libby and her family!

Good morning from Hornby Island on Canada’s west coast Anna. Thanks for coming to the rescue at Quilt Canada by providing the lecture and you and Judy Farrow teaching. You are both gems. We are all so sorry to hear of Libby’s condition and we hope and pray all is well. Looking forward as always to Quilt Canada in Penticton next week!
