Happy Mother’s Day

IMG_0422

It is Mother’s Day and I want to take the opportunity to wish all the mothers, grandmothers, great-grandmothers and foster moms among us a glorious day.
May today be showered with kindness, flowers and love and carry over into the year ahead.

I am in Penticton for Quilt BC 2013 organized by CQA/ACC. Preparations for the Quilt Judging Certification Programme are well under way and the next three days will be full of learning and sharing. A new group of interested quilters has signed up for this year’s session. I am looking forward to meeting new people and reconnecting with old friends.

I am keeping this post very brief today. Last minute review of teaching materials and classroom set up will take up my Sunday.

Enjoy the slideshow below. A late afternoon walk along Okanagan Lake and Penticton’s Japanese Garden yesterday presented nature’s best side.

Happy Mothers’ Day Anna. We were in Penticton last August for the Ironman race and to meet our three week old grand daughter. I well remember walking along the beach side and the Japanese Gardens. Enjoy CQA, lots of lucky quilters getting to meet and learn from you. Foggy here, quiet day at home, having eye issues this week.

Happy Mother’s Day to you Anna! I see you are surrounded in colour in BC. How amazing you are to be able to help CQA out on such short notice. I know they will be enjoying your talents and knowledge. My day will include a trip to the local Green Houses to get started on some Spring planting.
