…to Susan E. from Regina! Susan is the winner of Portfolio 19.
Imagine my surprise when Susan’s name was drawn on August 1st. I was delighted when she agreed to meet with me to receive the book in person while I was in Regina running errands for Art Quilt Campus and my Italy workshop yesterday. It was nice to see her enthusiasm and joy in person when she received her prize. In the past prizes have been shipped to Newfoundland, Edmonton and Syracuse – to name just a few places where previous contest recipients live.
Ten talented and hard working quilt artists followed my invitation/challenge issued on June 25 through July 31st to join SAQA. The newest member signed up just before the deadline – the first new member signed up the day I published the new challenge. Wow – what a great response we have had! Thanks everyone (all 11 of you!), and welcome to Kristin R., Alison C., Debby S., Kit L., Jackie W., Judy K., Judy M., Bev. C., Tracey L., Brandy M. and of course Susan E. for embarking on a new and exciting path in their art quilt career!
Well, congratulations Susan! I guess I’ll just have to get my own Portfolio 19!
