Just a few days ago an email from WordPress arrived that I can add seasonal touches to my blog. Who needs to add artificial snow drifting across the screen when all I have to do is look outside and have the real thing. Yes, it is cold outside and snow is gently falling… Great weather to catch up with office work. I am happy to share that I am done with the articles I committed to for the Canadian Quilter Magazine!
I have also received the great news that registration for my classes at Quilt Canada are filling up. Thanks everyone for committing early – it sure helps with the travel plans for 2014. Closer to home registrations for Art Quilt Campus are in full swing. I will post the details early next week to fill the last few spots.
I am secretly hoping the snow continues. It would mean bonus time in the studio. I plan to get to the Trendtex Challenge for 2014. I have taken the fabric from the envelope, pressed it carefully and pinned it to the design wall… Half the work is done, right?
Stay creative and enjoy your weekend!
It is also looking a lot like Christmas (at least an Australian one) here in Wilcannia New South Wales. The forecast for today is 39 C and for Friday 43 C. So the air conditioners and fans are on.
Best wishes for a merry Christmas and Happy New Year

Thanks for the lovely snow pics. I agree real is better and even with the cold temps. It has been snowing all day today and will be doing the same thing tomorrow. Katherine loves it for tobogganing and also making money when she shovels my driveway. She and I went shopping today among the hoards of people. I always have mine done well before Dec. but had to help her buying for her Mom and PaPa, also her best friend that lives down the block.
We always have a quiet holiday as there are no family around here and not like in the past relatives would come for a couple of days everyone is busy with their own kids and grandkids now.
You have a fun time with your friends and Colin.
The best for 2014. Will see you soon.

Well, the snow came and went, Leona. The Chinook blew in last night and we have a bit of a reprieve for now… Hope Katherine can enjoy a few more days of tobogganing! Enjoy the holidays with your family. Will be thinking of you.
