Where did the weekend and today go? I spent the last couple of days on preparing a teaching proposal for 2015. I have not done this in a while, since I have been very fortunate to have been invited to teach to most venues over the past two years. My website has certainly helped in keeping organizations interested in engaging me informed. This proposal was very detailed and it is off for consideration…
Meanwhile I feel a little frazzled and fragmented. Why do I do this to myself? Every January I am full of energy and great ideas and THE best intentions. 2014 is not much different. Finally this afternoon I took a few minutes to reorganize my thoughts and prioritize.
No matter how organized I am in my mind I still find it most helpful to create a list. I put everything that I need to complete and attend to on this list. Next I prioritize by numbering the items # 1 though # ?, # 1 constituting the most pressing task. It is like magic… as soon as I have cleared my mind and put everything on paper I can move forward. I experience a great feeling of satisfaction every time I cross an item off the list. Now, if I could just do this as soon as I feel stressed life would be so much easier…
Curious about the images on today’s post? I was preparing additional design work for my upcoming introductory design class. I have included the inspirational source, the image of a frog from a calendar I bought a couple of years ago. I had worked out the design previously but never put color to the design. I was quite pleased with the outcome. It added much needed color to an otherwise grey winter day.
We are on the same wave length Anna. I remain surprised each day about how much there always is to do. The good news is that life is not boring.
You really have accomplished a lot with an Advanced Design class taught, a proposal submitted and now this cheery frog design work done. Amazing woman.

Life is definitely not boring and the Advanced Design class… that was only session one of three! Additional handouts need to be compiled… never a dull moment but it keeps me striving for more. It i also a great way to stay fresh with my own work.

Hi Anna: I have been very busy with my homework and it is almost finished. Yippey!
The reason for rushing is I am bringing my 96 yr Mom to stay for 6 weeks and must concentrate on getting her comfortable here. I must say that January always has been a trial for me too, just trying to get back on track is sometime hard, but my homework sure changed the doldrums this year. See you Feb 1. Leona

Its really interesting how an image changes so much when duplicated and mirrored. I must try that sometime. Good luck with your list. I work the very same way. I have been working on my class piece and will be sending a photo soon.
