Branching out

Winter returned and has “gifted” us with three nightly snow falls that could make one think we are expecting Christmas in a week or two.

I am just glad the snow didn’t arrive till late Tuesday night. That evening I was part of the Regina Photo Club’s line up of presenters. The focus was on art and how we use photography in our chosen medium. We were a diverse group, DeLee Grant, Kristin MacPherson and I shared how we use photography as inspiration and incorporate the imagery we capture. DeLee and Kristin work primarily with paint, each  with her own focus and style.  My textile art was a little different and each presentation generated some lively discussion over refreshments during social time.

Make sure you check out DeLee’s and Kristin’s websites to familiarize yourself with their work.

The weekend is shaping up to get very busy. I am taking a Photoshop Course on Saturday and will be one of the jurors for the Saskatchewan Craft Council on Sunday. Let’s hope the sun comes out and brings us closer to some much needed spring temperatures. Enjoy your weekend!
