I am at Richardson Airport in Winnipeg awaiting the departure of my flight home. With a little time to spare I thought I would upload a few images along with a short update on my judging engagement with the Manitoba Quilter’s Guild.
Yesterday started early and with about 65 quilts to judge time flew by. While we award the category winners and best of show prizes on judging day, I love to see the show hung to select the special awards and Points of Praise before the show opens.
Here are Trudi and Marilyn as we make our way through the show to select more prize winners.
One last image of an impressive show – Remember, if you are in Winnipeg this weekend, this is a place to seek out. If you are interested in attending the banquet and awards ceremony and a presentation by the featured workshop leader Elaine Quehl, tickets are still available. Stop by the show at Polo Park CanadInn Conference Centre to reserve yours’. Wish I could stay, but my flight is boarding.
Enjoy your weekend!
Looks like a great show. Thanks for posting photos of it.

It was a great show. This was my second time judging it – what a privilege! I was amazed each year by the long line ups to get into the show. A great testament to the organizers.
