Three long days at the Conexus Art Centre in Regina came to and end last night. The feedback was positive and very encouraging all around. The concept of showcasing eight artists in eight mediums was well received and plans for next year are underway!
We had time to reflect and bounce ideas off each other for future group exhibitions. With our focus on education and nearly 150 students and art teachers touring the exhibit to interact with the individual artists we feel that interest is strong.
The Thursday night reception sponsored by a Regina Investor’s group drew over 150 individuals, and Friday and Saturday brought in a steady stream of art supporters. There was never a time when we didn’t have visitors tour the show. I took my images right after we completed set up on Thursday morning with the intent of uploading them to this blog. Connectivity issues and time restraints meant that I am sharing the images after the exhibition.
Thank you to all my friends for taking time during the first long weekend of spring to support me and the artists representing ReginArt 2014. It was wonderful to interact with you and the general public.
Thanks so very much for the pics of this show. The art work all looks top notch. Congrats to you on your entries. The more you show the better it is for longevity. Leona
