Thank you and CDA July Theme

A heartfelt thank you to all visitors, artists and supporters of the Annual Open Studio Event that took place at my studio last Friday and Saturday. It appeared that we had a direct line to the weather man/woman – both days were dry and pleasant. This made it manageable for visitors to access our place over gravel roads. It has been raining all day Sunday and Monday – perfect weather for regrouping and packing for my trip to Quilting in the Badlands later this week.

Those of you waiting for a CDA (Creative Daily Acts)update: The theme for July is “Orange Crush”. Color – Summer Heat – Lazy Days and a splash in the lake or pool… the possibilities are endless. Here is hoping for sunshine on the prairies to dry up all the flooding!

Check out the blog tomorrow for June’s CDAs!

  1. I so enjoyed your Open Studio Anna and it was wonderful to meet you and Colin as well as Donna, Wendy and Glenda. Thank you for the wonderful exhibit and display of your students works. I especially found the journals very interesting and inspirational. Glad the weather turned out so nice for you too.

Great Open Studio Anna! Your student’s creations and journals were awe-inspiring achievements to view and study in detail in the expanded viewing space.Wendy, Glenda and Donna added much to yours and Colin’s gracious hospitality along with visual pleasures of their works on display and for sale; and, as always, your own gastronomic delights were fabulous. Thank you again for so generously opening your home and studio to exhibit works of your students and other artists, inspire learning about new fibre arts techniques, and most of all, share the great outcomes of putting so many creative talents to work under the influence of your nurturing leadership.
