After all the hype last week about sunspots and the possibility of capturing this…
… we ventured out every night this weekend and never saw any Aurora activity. We were either a little too late, or the moon illuminated the sky too much, or the dreaded clouds moved in to hide any dancing lights in the sky. The star trail image above (complete with jet trails) was an experiment on my part: 91 images each exposed for 30 seconds. And this is what I did for fun this weekend… Did I mention, it was quite cold – soon I have to bring along my mittens!
Enjoy your week!
Hi Anna, Beautiful image. We had cloudy nights and saw nothing.
All the best, Ilse

Thanks Ilse – cloudy nights has been a given most of this summer. I am glad the weather is improving. It’s 26 C here today and predicted to stay the rest of the week right into the weekend…
