A first Hello from Germany…

This slideshow requires JavaScript.

We made it… after a somewhat stressful boarding experience in Calgary thanks to the construction at the airport we arrived in Duesseldorf mid-afternoon Friday.

A good visit with family and catching up with sleep we set out today to explore the surroundings. We ended up in Mayen, a small town with a history spanning over 2,000 years. Hope you enjoy the short slideshow! And yes, the little flower was captured today!

With nieces and nephews eager to practice their English we were introduced to this little YouTube video yesterday. Hope you get a little chuckle out of this  seasonal animated cartoon!

Christmas cards in Europe often have roses, sometimes with snow. I had forgotten that:-)
    Thanks for the animation smile!
