I just posted the final installment of our Christmas Market Marathon through Austria and Bavaria on my travel blog. Our final stop was Berchtesgaden, the picturesque mountain town that offers history, scenic views and so much tradition. I hope you have enjoyed the tour through my lens.
The weather has turned a little. We woke up to snow yesterday… a soft white blanket covers the local vineyards of the Rhine Valley near Bonn/Remagen.
Thank you for sharing your Christmas journey with us Anna – it was almost like being there! Love the tradition of the “markets”. Happy New Year and have a safe trip home. Bev

I have come to the firm conclusion that the holidays and trimmings in the mid-European countries are so very artsy and have a warm feeling. We do not seem to have the knack for decoration and design that these countries have for holiday treasures. I do have a few items that come from Germany and Austria in my collection and people always ask about them as they are so very old country.
I am wondering if you are on your way home soon. Have you met with your family yet for a visit as you did not send any pics of that time, or maybe they are very private.
Look forward to a visit in the new year. Take care and have fun taking beautiful pics.
