Less than two weeks ago we visited Barcelona. I am sorting images from our short jaunt to Barcelona – this one just begged to be shared. Today I am preparing a Spanish inspired bread for a community potluck closer to home. I am using roasted peppers and was reminded of this mixed pepper arrangement at the St. Joseph Mercat, THE market in Barcelona along the southern end of La Rambla…
Great memories of the finest offerings of fresh fruit, vegetables, meat and seafood come to mind as the roasted pepper topped flat bread’s baking time is nearing its end…Can’t wait to try a piece!
The arrangement of peppers in the photograph is a quilt and the bread makes me wish that i was going to be there to share this evening. Have fun.

Thanks for commenting, Elinor. I fell in love with the pepper arrangement in Barcelona – the combination of colors, sizes and types were impossible to ignore. Wish I could serve the flat bread warm, fresh out of the oven – it is best right then, but the potluck is in town and the drive is long enough to cool it completely.
