A Proud Moment… worthy of sharing!

JaynieWhy am I posting an image from January 2011? Well, just today one of these design students was featured on a fiber arts blog. On the far right in the white jacket is Jaynie Himsl. Jaynie lives in Weyburn, SK and has been working consistently on making fiber art a career.

I first met Jaynie in Calgary in 2010, She was enrolled in my Quilt Canada Workshop “Layers of Intrigue” and shortly after that she visited me during my Annual Open Studio. Jaynie was one of the first participants when I opened my studio for teaching. I am so proud of her accomplishments. Jaynie is focused and committed to meet her goals as an exhibiting artist. Congratulations, Jaynie! What a great way to start out 2015…
