A short four weeks ago we took a four day side trip from Germany to Barcelona. This city has been on my personal “bucket list” for about 15 years. What drew me was the architecture…

While exploring the city I realized this place was magical – and i am not just referring to the Fountains dancing to music at night!

…buskers that mesmerize with their movements. This one captured my attention in Park Gaudi across the main entrance to Segrada Familia.

With architecture and people also comes food – Mercado Boqueria was a feast for the eyes and senses.

Fresh fruit galore – whole fruits whole, by the piece or presented in serving cups. How can one resist?
Thanks for walking down “memory lane” with me. I am slowly making my way through the 3,000 images I captured during four days exploring Barcelona. I just to share some of the early impressions I experienced! Stay tuned for more to follow at a later date.
Now it’s time to get back to some studio work…

Oh my the photos are gorgeous, like a rich tapestry. My middle daughter lives and works in Barcelona at the Marina. She loves the life there and I can see why from your photos!

Thank you for weighing in with a comment! Your daughter is a very fortunate woman! Barcelona is a city for all ages and has so much to offer. I visited during the quieter time of the year and loved every minute of it. Warnings of muggings and pick pockets were completely unfounded and we never felt worried. I would go back in a heart beat! LOVED every minute of our stay. There will be more photos coming… it is one of those places where everywhere you turn you see something of interest.

Anna, the colour and texture you have captured is a feast for the eyes. Of interest is that yesterday I was searching for a yarn and found one called “Gaudi”

Gaudi yarn – now that would heighten the experience! Glad you enjoyed the images. It’s warm here right now (considering it is the end of January) but I know that we are in for some snow soon. These colors and images will keep me inspired as winter carries on outside!
