After a day of running errands in Regina and a great photo club meeting we got on our way home only to realize that the Aurora was dancing!
What better way to finish St. Patrick’s Day (and you are not Irish or of Irish decent) than watching and capturing the Aurora put in her best colors?
I just had to share. I captured close to 50 images in about 45 minutes. This was the first great Aurora event I experienced since I was in Yellowknife in November 2013!
The pictures are fabulous! I saw them that night too 🙂

Hi, Anna,
What lovely photos! Would you mind my forwarding this post to a friend in N. Carolina? She and her husband really want to see the Northern Lights and never have, even though they’ve traveled in Canada several times.

Wonderful pictures. I used to see them driving home after shift at the airport in Edmonton, I would have to pull over to watch them as they were so impressive.

Thanks, Johanna! Glad to bring back some good memories of late night driving in Alberta… Hope you are managing the snow after the third snow storm this week!

Wonderful ‘lights” Anna! They take me back to Northern Manitoba where my lake is and the beauty and wonder of them as they danced across the sky above the water. thanks for sharing !

Thanks, Joyce! I love it when the lights reflect in a lake… but our lakes are still frozen and using trees in the foreground are the next best thing!
