The last week slipped away from me with travel and fulfilling several commitments along the way. I spent Thursday judging close to 60 entries at the Sunshine Coast in Gibsons for the guild. Thanks to my very professional scribes, Joan and Carole, the judging went smoothly, and I was able to fully immerse myself in the entries at hand. Each quilt was a delight to examine and formulate critiques for.
Yesterday was a long day with proof reading the critiques, teaching and then a lecture after the banquet. Another day of teaching lies ahead for today. The images are of the quilt show at the Gibsons Rec Center. The show continues today and tomorrow. If you are in the area, make sure to stop in, see the quilts and maybe do some shopping with the fabulous vendors!
I am staying at one of the guild members’ B & B’s. The Artist & the Quiltmaker B&B in Robert’s Creek is such a wonderful retreat where we are treated like family. I know we will return here another time just for a holiday! Sherri and Vic are the perfect hosts making this teaching and judging appointment one to remember fondly for a long time.
Enjoy your weekend!
