Good morning everyone. The hustle and bustle is on here in Lethbridge. Quilt Canada is in full swing, the National Juried Show has been judged, the winners announced and the QJCP Part I class finished yesterday afternoon.
The image above was quickly taken on my way to breakfast yesterday morning. I wish I could have taken my camera out on a walk… but work comes first. What long days we have had so far. I am not exaggerating when I say we worked for 20 hours each day. Evaluations were on the agenda last night. We are debriefing with candidates today and Friday.
The awards ceremony was fabulous last night. I was asked by two former students and friends (and Art Quilt Campus participants) to accept their awards. Paula Jolly and Alison Dean Cowitz will be arriving later today to take in the limelight at Quilt Canada. Congratulations to two very hard working and committed textile artists. Well done!
It’s a new day, Quilt Canada 2015 delegates are on their way to breakfast and to class. It’s time to set up our suite for the first debriefing session and I better run and get ready! Have a great day everyone – hope to see you around the Quilt Canada 2015 Lethbridge Campus sometime this week!
