…and colleague Elaine Quehl. Elaine is the CQA/ACC Teacher of the Year 2015/2016.
It’s official! I can share the great news that Elaine was nominated and selected to represent the newest member of this special group. I have known about Elaine receiving this honor for several months as she asked me to deliver her acceptance speech last night. Elaine was teaching for the London Embroiderer’s Guild this week, and as we all know it is difficult to be in two places at the same time.
Korleen Smith read a moving introduction from the nominating team followed by me presenting Elaine’s acceptance speech forwarded to me last week.
The silver plated engraved seam ripper and the official certificate are in my hands. They be delivered to Edmonton next week where I will meet up with Elaine during the Edmonton and District Quilter’s Guild Show. I can’t wait to present her with these items and give her a congratulatory hug.
Well done, Elaine! I am so proud to be your colleague and friend! Congratulations! And thank you to Linda Smith for chairing the selection committee.
