…In 23 hours the doors open officially to the 6th Annual Open Studio Event and the excitement is building!

The Studio is transformed into a gallery, tables are covered and walls ready to receive art. The living room has clear horizontal spaces. Set up starts tonight and continues tomorrow morning. Artists will be set for the first visitors to arrive around noon.

I have been wielding the egg beaters, whipping cream, chopping strawberries and chocolate – not necessarily in that order. From German family recipes to gluten free items, there will be something in the line of refreshments for everyone. I am just taking a brief time out before putting the finishing touches on the ever popular Lemon Cream Torte. …and yes, all the baking is home-made, my creative output for the week!

Colin, myself and the Moose Jaw Art Guild look forward to welcoming everyone Friday (noon – 9 pm) and Saturday (10 am – 6 pm) for the 6th Annual Open Studio Event. Come out and see what local artists has been working on lately. More info and directions to our place on the shores of Buffalo Pound Lake can be found here.

Sure wish I could attend Anna. Maybe someday I will be close enough to get there. Sounds like a wonderful time. Linda Schmidt

  2. Oh my, I would come just for the lemon cream torte, never mind your superb art work. Alas, living close to Toronto, it would be a bit too much of a drive.

    • We expect a great turnout, Minnie! The Saskatchewan Craft Council included the event in their newsletter today, the Art Guild has done their share of promoting… and like every year we take on the attitude “Hang the art and bake your heart out… and “they” will come! The weather is promising to be a beautiful weekend. Wish you could be here!

Anna, I’m sorry to miss this year’s event. I have other commitments in Saskatoon so I’m unable to attend. Hope your Open House goes well.
