My long silence meant some regrouping and settling in at home. Colin and I decided to jump in the car with cameras in hand on Saturday and Sunday to check out the fall colors around the lake. The image above was captured from the Buffalo Pound Provincial Park Marsh Boardwalk. I altered the color and value it slightly to further enhance the dramatic sky.
I am now working toward a few more deadlines. This reminds me that I am this years leader for the Moose Jaw area for the World Wide Photo Walk. Do you live within driving distance? Have you always wanted to join me on a walk with camera in hand? This is your chance. Visit the World Wide Photo Walk page here and register. It is totally free, entitles you to enter an image and possibly win a great prize! Hope to see you Saturday. If you want to participate in your own neighborhood, check out the World Wide Photo Walk site and find a walk near your home!
It’s back to work for me. Various articles are due in the next couple of days. I am focused on that for now and then my last workshops for the year in Calgary need some attention. Handouts will be revised and printed… and then the packing begins all over again!
Your picture has caused me to fill a basket of greys, sage greens, beige and cream coloured cottons. They may not become an item by any means but are visible where ever I am in my happy room. Your pictured scene has a very calming effect on me, even though I can see that it is windy. Thank you, Anna!

What a beautiful picture. The clouds are spectacular. I think greying the colour was the perfect thing to do with it.

Thanks for the feedback, Carol! I tired the de-saturation and liked it. It gave this otherwise somewhat boring image much more texture. Hope your travels are going well! Say hi to the good people at PIQF from me!
