Leaving Palm Trees Behind…

I am home! After enjoying warm temps and relatively high (at least for me) humidity in Florida while walking between the convention center and hotel I am back to winter. I will miss the palm trees, flowering hibiscus and egrets in the pond, not to mention the wonderful quilts on display at World Quilt Florida.

Thank you to my workshop participants who hailed from across Florida, California, Bahamas and even Canada. The classes were small but it ensured that I was able to engage with each student on a more personal, one-on-one basis. I look forward to staying touch!

What’s on my agenda? We are finishing the flooring in my studio first – then it’s time to get back to some serious work.

Hope your first full week of 2016 was full of color and creative endeavors.

  1. Welcome back, Anna. I too am missing the palm trees. 😦 It looks like you’re making progress on your studio floor. Hope to see you soon.

    • Welcome home yourself – I bet you had a fabulous time on the beach. I never saw a beach and the weather was not sunny enough to spend time pool side – besides, I was there to work. Hope to see you soon, too! Floor is done… now the monumental task of putting things back in place begins.

  2. Hi Marilyn – what happened? Did you get a lot of snow? We have had hardly any this year – a good thing with our furnace troubles, too. Hang in there – it can only get warmer and less snowy from here… Thinking of you!

Sigh!! Welcome back Anna, Sudbury is a nightmare today. No venturing out, especially in my little Smart car. Your pictures are almost exactly like the ones I took in the Caribbean last summer, the croton with its delicious hues, the hibiscus, the bougainvillea, big sigh again. I do like the quilt pics you posted.and your studio floor looks great.
