This is what my surroundings look like normally. This year is completely different. We had rain yesterday morning which made for icy sidewalks for a while… However, I am not complaining about this winter at all. We have had more sunshine and above 0 C temperatures than I even remember from my years of living in Calgary. What a treat – and I hope I didn’t jinx it by writing about it.
Right now I overlook the lake and icy patches there are emerging from the snow cover. It all looks a bit slushy out there. It reminds more of April than January. The ice usually melts off late April, early May. So far so good – let’s hope it stays that way! But enough about the weather…
Are you up to a free challenge? I subscribe to CreativeLive, a fabulous site with a wide variety of instruction via video feed. Many of these lessons are offered for free and one can then opt to buy the lesson for life-long access. Quite often the administrators offer bonuses for anyone interested. Yesterday I discovered an invitation to join the 28 Day Challenge in my inbox. Here is the link if you are interested in checking it out. I believe it will provide a little boost to anyone’s resolution about living life more creatively in 2016. Check it out and see if this free offer is something you might be interested in.
I have signed up for it as it looks like the exercises will be little creativity boosters and won’t involve a lot of time in my full daya. I might even be able to participate while traveling later in the month. Let me know what you think – leave a comment!

Hi Anna. I am on the computer creating a new class on colour and feeling very motivated to be creative. So when your blog came through I couldn’t resist temptation and signed up for the creative challenge. My real challenge will be to limit myself to 20 minutes. Hope some others will join in and let us know. Sounds like a good exchange.
