To Stay a Little Longer…

Yesterday was a long day… After three hours of sleep I set off to the airport to catch my first flight destined for the Mid-Atlantic Quilt Festival in Hampton, VA. I am happy to do a quick check in today to share that all my flights with WestJet were on time or early, yeah!

What I am most excited about is my departure from La Guardia, NY. Just as the plane took off the sun was beginning to set and I had the most amazing view of New York.

I apologize for the quality of the images. I quickly captured these with my iPad, the only camera on hand at that moment. Can you see the Statue of Liberty? I was so excited to see the city and recognize some of its landmarks… one of these days I will stay a little longer to explore the sights from street level.

Thanks for letting me share. I am taking the day to acclimatize and sew with friends. Hope your day is as relaxing as mine!

We got to sail past the statue at sunset, one of the best memories.
