National Letter Writing Month is coming to an end today. I am proud to report that I have stuck to my goal and added a “letter” a day to my leather bound journal. Each “Dream” quote has been opened, personal thoughts pondered and contemplated in my own words. I highly recommend this way of providing prompts to further your writing skills.
I must say, it was a great exercise. It kept me focused in an otherwise topsy-turvey personal schedule. At the beginning of the month I felt relaxed and ready to add a couple of creative endeavors. I did complete my Kantha wall hanging which was not really on the agenda… so I consider this a bonus. It was a big hit when I showed it during my presentation to the Saskatoon Quilters’ Guild on Monday night.
Colin and I managed to get the house listed, something that was running a little behind schedule but it is ready for viewers. We are hosting our first Open House tomorrow, meanwhile the last decking boards on the breezeway between house and studio are being installed as I am preparing this post.
I am looking forward to May. I have a couple of close friends visiting (one right after the other) starting Wednesday, leaving Monday. We then head to Edmonton for a medical appointment for Colin. May is filling up fast. Good thing we are not driving to Ontario as I am finding that I am running out of time (and energy) to get organized.
The weekend weather is promising to be great! Perfect for welcoming prospective buyers – and if nobody shows, we will sit back and sip on some iced tea. My order of the new springtime flavors arrived a while ago and I am still testing which one will go down as my 2016 favorite.
And I have one more great bit of news… the last three spots for Art Quilt Campus week 2 have been subscribed! We have two full weeks with fabulous participants. Looking forward to August when it all happens at Muenster, SK!
Enjoy your weekend, everyone!
