The studio is filling up with supplies for Art Quilt Campus. Between colorful threads and PFD (prepared for dyeing fabric) horizontal space is at a premium. I spent last weekend at St. Peter’s Abbey in Muenster at an camera club retreat. I checked out our classroom (# 206 is fully air conditioned and will have plenty of space for all of us). To create more work space I am moving ironing and cutting stations into the hall way. Can’t wait to welcome everyone very soon!
I have 400+ meters of fabric for dyeing, several yards of 7 oz canvas and a limited amount of black fabric (from my personal stash) for discharge. My next task is to divide most of the PFD fabric into one meter lengths so AQC participants can quickly reach for them when creativity strikes…
…and yes, I have chocolate!!! Daily treats have undergone a bit of a change this year. I still have quilting and fiber arts related gifts but I know how important chocolate is when it comes to overcoming sleep deprivation and creative hurdles… Our refrigerator is currently getting a little crammed with the gift packages. When it’s hot in Southern Saskatchewan, chocolate stays in the fridge. 😉
The next few days will be spent dividing fabric and stowing it away for the Saturday/Sunday Open House afternoons. Please pass on the Open House info to anyone you think might be interested in a house by Buffalo Pound Lake, SK. Here is the website I created in April when we first listed. Thanks for helping out!
Yeah!!! look at all those threads!!! looking forward to augmenting my stash…
