…However catchy this may sound… it is not the start to a new advertising jingle. It is reality calling. The supplies for Art Quilt Campus ordered over the past several months to ensure freshness are really piling up in the studio and the garage. Tomorrow is the day the big packing starts, now an annual event in this household.

Every year I get a little better organized… I hope! While I am working on this blog post I laminating signs to direct everyone (newcomers and returning participants) to classrooms and dorm. Let’s hope it will make it less confusing for the perpetually lost… and those attending for the first time. It will mean fewer steps in the course of a day to balance long periods of sitting at the sewing machine. But there are always the Abbey grounds to explore. Last year I spent every lunch hour checking out the gardens and apple orchard. I look forward to these excursions this year!

For the dye room I am creating large print recipe sheets fully laminated for continued use. This is something I had planned to create for a while… let’s hope it will keep anxiety out of the dye area this year. I learn and I try to make improvements. I am sure there will be more suggestions this year for future events.

With many requests for handwork demos I am also packing more samples than usual. Hopefully the boxes and suitcases will find room in the car tomorrow.

Meanwhile, summer continues and with only a few days of care-free times left before I head to Muenster Colin and I ventured back to the Avonlea Badlands on Monday for a Milky Way Photo Shoot. Check out a few of my images here.

Enjoy your weekend everyone. I can’t believe how time flies! Safe travels to the Art Quilt Campers traveling this weekend! Can’t wait to see you all!
