I said farewell this morning! This fantastic group of women spent a productive time together from Sunday through Friday night. The creative energy generated during the past five days is difficult to describe but the memories bring a big smile to my face when I recall key moments.
Thank you Diana, Trudi, Minnie, Alison, Paula, Linda, Paige, Elinor, Bev, Marilyn, Patti, Cindi, Gillian, Carole, Barb and Helene! Self-described as the “DreamTeam” these women will continue to connect and collaborate throughout the coming year. Plans were solidified last night for ongoing challenges and opportunities to push forward the creative spirit until we reunite in August 2017.

After waving good bye to the last vehicle and a last tidy up in the dorm and classrooms Colin and I made time to explore the area. We started out chasing clouds… then followed the sign to Mount Carmel, a local pilgrimage site…
…where from the highest point a Virgin Mary statue towers over the prairie landscape.
We encountered glorious sunshine, clear skies, clouds and rain when suddenly I was overcome by a feeling of profound exhaustion… we headed back to our camper where I caught up on some missing sleep to ensure a fully rested mind and body for Week 2 Art Quilt Campus participants arriving tomorrow afternoon.

Was great to see you all and I did make a mistake by not registering this year so book me for 2017. We will definitely get together either here or picking you up for a day in Regina or Moose Jaw. The ladies group Deb, Gillian, Barb,Dorothy and I will make sure to see you soon. Let me know when you will be up for a get-together.
