Rain…

Rain is grace; rain is the sky descending to the earth; without rain, there would be no life.                           John Updike

It’s a grey day, perfect for reflection and squeezing in a walk while it’s not coming down too hard. It is not such a great day for getting ready for a camping trip however. We shouldn’t have put off setting the camper up for one last trip…
The house is filling up with the tantalizing scent of cinnamon. I am preparing a tray  of cinnamon buns to take along for a quick snack. Can’t wait for the taste test to make sure they are worthy of packing. 😉
In the studio I am preparing a few handwork projects to take along. I am hopeful that there will be times I can reach for the project bag and get some stitching in. The camera is ready, batteries charged. We look forward to connecting with family and friends in the Okanagan. Let’s hope the weather cooperates!
Let me close with some wise words about rain by one smart little donkey:

The nicest thing about the rain is that it always stops. Eventually.

Enjoy your holiday Monday!

Looking back on this September 5th Post is such a pleasure,
such poetic phrases and mushroom photos to treasure,
delightful markers in the misty aura of rainy days.
    Thank you Anna!

  2. We desperately need rain. Down 100mms. From normal. The creek beside the house is a trickle, and because all the homes in our area are on wells water is used minimally. Have a great holiday. We just returned f rom B.C. And Alberta. Handwork is always a must when travelling.

  4. My house is filling up with the tantalizing scent of cinnamon too, only I’m trying a new recipe: Pull-Apart Cinnamon Sugar Pumpkin Bread. I can hardly wait to taste. 🙂
