Eight days away and it feels like a lifetime! As I embarked on my morning walk today I observed the changes that took place while I was away in B. C. and Alberta. Fall is definitely here but luckily we missed a couple dreary days with rain and a definite chill in the air.

We did experience frost each time we camped in Cochrane, AB… Each evening (6 days apart) we set up the camper and the frost warning appeared on my weather app. We survived and while in BC the evenings were balmy and we were able to soak up the sunshine and hopefully store it for the long winter ahead.

In the background I am downloading the images I captured over the past week. There are colorful sunsets over Okanagan Lake, red sandstone concretions from Southeastern Alberta, impressions from Fort Walsh and the Cypress Hills in SK and so many sights that captured my attention along the way. I will be sharing images and stories soon. For today I selected the image I captured this morning… the trees are changing color and the reds and yellows are that much more vivid against the azure sky!

Now it’s time to regroup and get organized at home. The unanswered emails have piled up and my blogs have been neglected. And then there is the bag of art supplies I picked up at Opus Monday morning on our way home. I found some new-to-me water soluable colored graphite pencils! I can’t wait to try them soon!
