I arrived in Ottawa after a frustratingly long trip on Friday night… I left behind glorious sunshine in Regina and arrived to heavy rainfall warnings in Eastern Ontario. But as the saying goes: “Waking up to a grey day on holidays is better than a sunny day spent at work.”
A drive to the country on Saturday afternoon was a true gift for the senses. The rain was soon forgotten with colours this bright. Enjoy a sampling of what we discovered – a true gift from nature!
Oh Anna, You have made me homesick for the colours in the maple trees and the oak as well. Loved the wood fence along the edge of the field. We don’t see those fences on the prairies. Thanks for sharing these photos. Enjoy your time in Haliburton.

Love, love the photo of the red oak leaves and the one of the maples after it. I grew up in Quebec and really miss the fall colours. I don’t know if you sell your prints but would love copies of those two. I don’t have a colour printer. I can’t wait to see what you do in Haliburton.
