Last week seems like a distant dream: Glorious fall colours, fluffy snow, challenging assignments that push the way one sees creatively in a a meditative manner, sharing dreamy images and learning from a fabulous teacher can’t really describe how much I enjoyed my week in Haliburton. Spending a couple of days exploring Ottawa and sampling delicious foods with my friend was the perfect ending to a great time in Ontario.
I arrived back in Saskatchewan early Monday morning (just after midnight…) and after a day of errands in Regina fell into my own bed late last night. I am still unpacking but wanted to share with you my last set of Miksang class images from last Friday.
Stay tuned – I am back in the studio trying hard to center myself and finding a fresh focus. Imagine, only two more months and we are welcoming a new year… Where does the time go?
Exquisite photos Anna – almost other-worldly, yet so grounded in the earth and in tiny details of living things – like Haiku poems. How good it is to know that you had such an inspiring and restorative time in Ontario, seemingly a well-deserved re-filling of your creative cup and spirit!

The images are breathtakingly beautiful in a peaceful way inviting one to pause and take oneself out of everyday rush of life and draw energy in for a moment.

Thank you, Elinor. Pausing and taking oneself out of the everyday rush is what Miksang Contemplative Photography is all about. A truly meditative experience!

I’m waiting with interest to see if and how to use the ideas from your Halliburton week, in fabric creations!

Nancy, last week was all about contemplative practices. It is my goal to incorporate more mindfulness practice into my studio and life in general . 😉
