Exploring the Eifel Region in Germany…

bad-bertrich

…is always on the agenda while visiting my sister. Sunday was a day off all of us and a day trip was planned. We ended up in the historic spa town of Bad Bertrich, well worth a visit. Interested in finding out a little more? Here is a link to my travel blog. Enjoy!

Hi Anna. I am really enjoying your photos. Creativity and a well developed aesthetic flourishes throughout the world. Can you make a translation for the word “Bad”?

    • Thanks for your comment, Elinor. I included a link to the town’s history on Wikipedia on my travel blog. From this it becomes clear that “Bad” stands for “bath” referring to a spa town. The Eifel is of volcanic origin and hot and healing mineral springs are still active everywhere. Hope this helps.
