From near and far cars packed to the rafters will make their way through the prairie landscape to Muenster, SK today. Yes, it’s that time of the year again: Art Quilt Campus 2017 will be in full swing in just a few hours from now.
For the next two weeks 28 textile/fibre artists (14 each week) will be spending time together to share, collaborate, learn, and forge lasting friendships. Packing for me started a while ago and yesterday the fine-tuning began to ensure everything fit into the car:
Fabric for Dyeing, dye supplies, buckets and yes, Inspiration Kantha (two boxes of my brand new book) are safely loaded already!
Dye jars, clean-up cloths, containers filled with dyes, irons for pressing and various Kantha samples in the suit case are filling the space.
And, there is just enough space for some photographic equipment (for the “How to Photograph Your Artwork” evening presentation) and my small carry on suitcase with clothes for the next two weeks.

Tears just rolled down my cheeks as I looked at your packed car and read your post. Can’t help it. Have the best week ever Anna. I am sure it must be bitter sweet for you as well. All good things do come to an end. I guess, not easy
