Art Quilt Campus, Week 1 – The Grand Finale!

If readers detect a certain amount of exhaustion on the faces of AQC participants from this week they are not mistaken! This most energetic group put in another creativity filled day which included a lively exchange of artist related topics.

Work on new designs continued and the time to pack up arrived much too soon! A final supper was shared with much laughter and the farewell party included a recap of our year-long creative challenge, its trials and small tribulations and successful outcome. A vote to see if enough interest existed to gather again next summer had a favourable outcome… and planning is in its early stages.

Time to head to bed for a restful sleep – breakfast time will arrive soon enough followed by the bittersweet goodbyes with hugs and waves! Safe travels everyone! Till we gather again!

My day tomorrow will be spent tidying up the classroom and setting up for Week 2 starting Sunday afternoon. Taking my camera out for a Miksang walk is also on the agenda… Stay tuned for images!
