Week 2 of Art Quilt Campus 2017 has come to an end. A tired group packed up their cars this morning, hugs and promises to stay in touch were exchanged and everyone turned their wheels toward home.
By the time I was packed up and was leaving Muenster behind I received the first text that Carol had arrived home safe and sound. There is not much else to report… The group connected and interacted well despite several new people that joined this year. Everyone exclaimed how much they enjoyed each others’ company.
I am typing this as I am heading south. Once I unpack the car and stow away things I will head into nature for some Miksang. We are planning an extended weekend camping trip to the Avonlea Badlands and Grassland National Park next week provided the weather cooperates.
Thanks to everyone who came to spend time at Art Quilt Campus, week 1 and week 2 participants, it was a pleasure to spend time with you, exchange ideas and plans for the future. Dates for 2018 are booked and details will be available shortly.
A warm thank you to everyone as well who supported me by purchasing my Kantha book! I was honoured to sign it. Enjoy the rest of the long weekend everyone!
PS: Apologies for the dappled shade photo… I didn’t bring my flash! Since we were pressed for time the quality of the image is not optimal…
In other news, I came across this article today and thought that our group might find it of interest…fascinating story. http://www.textileartist.org/textile-artist-judith-scott-uncovering-innate-talent/
