It’s no secret that I adore Happinez Magazine. My latest issue arrived a couple of weeks ago, but it has taken me until today to flip the cover page open and immerse myself into the content.

Aaahhh – it’s like an afternoon at the spa. Truthfully, I have never been to the spa, but this feeling I get from losing myself in the Happinez articles and the superb images that accompany the travel and wellness reports bring on a feeling of calm and relaxation.

It is also my escape from disappointment. I won’t be able to support the Saskatoon Quilters’ Guild Show this year. If you are close to Saskatoon and are able to attend, enjoy the show that begins tonight with its official opening! The guild always puts on a very good show! It is open Friday and Saturday with 450 quilts on display. Here is a link to additional information.

Before I forget: My day started on a high, an image made by my niece Nadine of Anni and her two friends at their first birthday party… Anni will be one year old next Wednesday! How time flies! These three have the facial expressions of little people that realize that life is a serious endeavour!

The birthday girl is on the left. Anni is on the right. According to Nadine, they all started to cry after the birthday hats were secured in place. I could not resist sharing! Enjoy, and rest assured that my blog is not morphing into a diary of baby and cute pet photos!
