…but still from the heart: A huge thank you to the Saskatoon Quilters’ Guild PD-Day Committee for inviting me to speak at the 2018 event last Saturday. It was very special to be part of the line up of speakers and the feedback has been positive.
PD-Day, we all know that to mean Professional Development Day. I learned something new on Saturday: PD stands for Pampered Diva Day in Saskatoon and I LOVE it! The final speaker was Debbie Barlow (back by popular demand after she was a huge hit in 2017) she created a fabulous line up of floral arrangments right in front of us dispensing countless tips and great design suggestions. I made the images above while Debbie was presenting.
We left Saskatoon with thick hoarfrost on the trees lamenting the fact that we have had no hoarfrost at home this winter. This morning we woke up to a lovely surprise, and by the time the sun came out everything began to sparkle and I made it outside just in time to capture a few photos.
I moved slowly. OK, let’s be honest: I hobbled… due to a knee injury. All these years of walking on and off the ice I have never hurt myself long enough to mention it. Well, Monday changed all that. It only took a fraction of a second to lose my footing, twist my leg, fall and then take 45 minutes to walk home for a distance that usually takes only 15 minutes. My right knee has been sore ever since. Hopefully the pain will subside and I can venture out soon…. I think the swelling is subsiding. 😉
But, there is no rest for the wicked. We took the plunge yesterday and reactivated our property listing with ComFree. We are hopefull that 2018 is the year this place will find someone else who falls in love and makes a commitment to buy this lakeside home.
