Many of you were wondering if you will get to see the completed “Luther’s Rose” Banner for Emmanuel Lutheran Church in Moose Jaw, SK…
On Thursday morning this week we ventured out, banner safely tucked into the cargo area of the SUV, measuring tape, hammer and special hooks in the hanging kit to install the commission. “Luther’s Rose” measures 5’5″ in diameter and is now hanging securely on the designated wall in the sanctuary. A special thank you to Rev. John Kreutzwieser for inviting me to create this commemorative banner. It was my third commission for his church.
Meanwhile, spring has arrived at the lake. The trees and bushes are greening up and I was delighted to see five young pelicans enjoying the beach area I pass on my daily walks. I just love seeing them swimming on the lake or sailing majestically over the water.
With the great weather and our house updated our realtor team organized new images of our property. If you haven’t seen them on FaceBook, here is a direct link to the listing.
Please share with anyone you may think might be interested in a Saskatchewan Lake property! It’s a great place to enjoy all four seasons and the studio is perfect for art making or practice yoga.
What’s new from the slow stitching front: My hexagon project is slowly taking shape. I have been busy stitching some of the pieces together to help me visualize the design and final layout. Thus far the butterflies for the border are waiting for their background pieces and I have moved on to the rosettes for the centre. It is a lot of fun to see these individual components come together.
Wishing everyone a wonderful Mother’s Day weekend!
What an achievement, only from a genius. Well done Anna.

Thanks, Linda. It was hung in time for Mother’s Day – good timing as the banner was commissioned to commemorate the Reverend’s late mother.
