Anna Hergert, Art & Design

Yesterday…

The wind was whistling across the Saskatchewan prairie as it so often does this time of the year. With these gusty winds that blow across the last ice winter presented us spring always makes its presence known. I ventured into the hills for an afternoon hike and to check out just how far the ice on the lake had receded. Let the images speak for themselves!

Thank you for the crocuses! One of my many favourite signs of spring!

Lovely photos Anna! Spring is also late in BC and it’s very dry.

The last image is my favourite – so much movement in the grasses! Gorgeous.

Your photographs are stunning – and the beauty of the landscape you are fortunate to be roaming in, especially now with physical distancing – is breathtaking.

I do love that very muted colour palette on the earth, coupled with the brilliant blue of the sky. Something so soothing about it.

I am so ready for spring. Love the crocuses. I’ve been looking for them, but the parks where I could go to look are closed. I did find a few pussy willows last week. Thanks for sharing your photos Anna. I’m sure we are all ready for SPRING!

    • Oh, are we ever ready for spring… although I don’t like what I see with seasonal folk arriving in the community. Somehow they don’t understand that physical/social distancing rules apply here just as much as in the city…
