Moving Forward…

…on all levels! I had fun capturing this image of an icy pond a couple of weeks ago. When searching for images today I thought this one was fitting… it represents a smooth flow of water and sediment, and at the same time provides a metaphor for my life right now… Going with the flow whenever possible!

One of the things I engaged in over the last ten days was posting some of my art on FaceBook after I was invited by local artist Krista Wells. As most of you know, I don’t usually participate in these challenges but this time I decided to make the time and log into my FB account to post daily. It was great to share well seasoned and newer works. Here are the images I posted:

Meanwhile, the Virtual Creative Cluster now has 11 participants from across the country and our second session yesterday afternoon went very well. It is so wonderful to see the members of the group inspire each other and get excited about new ideas and possibilities. Each group member has selected an artist and is embarking on a little homework to become more familiar with the life of the artist, his/her inspiration, the line quality of their work and specific colour ways. I look forward to our next gathering.

Whenever possible, and when the weather cooperates I still make a point of venturing out to explore the beach. Today was a “two beach day”. My Wednesday Walkers Group drove “downshore” (as it’s called here) to Advocate Harbour. The beach there is another great find. Walking in either direction is well worth it. Today we walked to Cape Chignecto and I never grow tired of the red sandy cliffs that glow in the sunlight as we pass them.

With today’s glorious weather I realized that the tide was still low when we returned to Parrsboro. In a split second I decided to get down to the local beach and take in the sunset. I was not disappointed!

I logged nearly 13 km according to my walking app. Each step was very much worth it! There was so much inspiration along the beaches. I think it’s time to hunker down in the studio and explore some of my ideas…

Hope you all had a great day today! Stay tuned for more posts shortly,

Anna

  1. You are definitely being inspired by your new location. So different from Sask but you did get lots of that here too, just different. Hope Colin, pups and you are well and settling into your new home and lifestyle. I love oceans too and there aftermath of tides.

    • Thanks for the note, Leona. We have settled well. Everyone is doing great. Teak has caught up to Ash in size and when I walk those two down the street they are a joy to watch strolling side by side. Hope all is well with you!
