Three weeks ago I dropped off artwork for a solo exhibition at the Grand Manan Art Gallery. With Colin’s surgery scheduled for September 6th I didn’t expect to see my work on exhibit but things have a way to work themselves out!
Long story short: Colin’s surgery went well and he was so energetic that I worried he would exert himself against the surgeon’s advice. We packed overnight bags yesterday morning and headed to Grand Manan on short notice. I was determined to see the exhibition in person and assist with take down.

I am glad we went! I met one of the other artists, the art collector who purchased my piece “Low Tide at the Bay of Fundy at Alma Beach” and the curator/director of the gallery. Feedback about my exhibition was very encouraging. Visitors were especially intrigued by my use of non-woven and man-made materials. I am thrilled that my work inspired discussion and reflection.

Thank you to David Ogilvie and the exhibition selection committee at the Grand Manan Art Gallery for the opportunity to share my work. Special gratitude goes to board member Mary Hawkins and her grand-daughter for doing such an amazing job at hanging the work. Thank you to all the visitors and artists for comments and feedback.

Delighted all went well on both fronts… lovely artistry 🤩😍🤗💕✨

Thanks for the feedback… the work is a combination of older and new work with focus on a water theme.
